Temples are not only a worship place in Pithoragarh, It shows the tradition and believe of the pahari people. Below is a brief tour of temples in this Hill City.
(1) Dhwaj Temple

This temple is located at Totanaula, which is 18 kms from Pithorgath on Didihat road. The altitude is 2100 mts. above the sea level. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Jayanti. There is around 3 kms tough climbing from Totanaula to reach mata ka darbar.
(2) Patal Bhubaneshwar

This is an underground pilgrimage of Lord Shiva, which is situated at 16 Km. to the north-east of Gangolihat, 20 Km. to the south of Berinag and 91 Km. away from the district head quarter (Pithoragarh). The altitude is 1350 mts. above the sea level.

It comes under village Bhuvneshwar, which is in the tehsil Didihat. The way of this cave temple is through a long, narrow tunnel, which is decorated by the various sculptures formatted through Limestone rock.

(3) Kapileshwar Mahadev
This is a cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The one most venerable fact of this cave is that the great sage Kapil mediated here. It is around 3 km from Pithoragarh.
(4) Mostamanu

This temple is situated near Chandak, 7 km from Pithoragarh. The altitude is 1890 mts. above the sea level. The temple is dedicated to Mosta God.
(5) Nagmandir of Berinag

This temple is located 1 Km from Berinag. This is a Snake-Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is said that in 14th century when the Pants of Maharashtra came to Berinag, they found large number of snakes there. So, they named the temple after it as Snake-Temple.
(6) Ulkadevi Temple

This temple is situated at a top of hill near Pithoragarh Chandak morter road. It is dedicated to devi Ulka. Besides the temple, there is also a memorial which was built for the warriors who gave up their lives for their mother-land.
(7) Arjuneshwar Temple
This temple is situated at the top of a hill at the height of 6000 ft. It is 10 km from Pithoragarh. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that the temple was built by Arjun, a great warrior.
(8) Sirakot

Sirakot fort cum temple is situated at a distance of 2km from Didihat and around 52 km from Pithoragarh. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Bhariab.
(9) Kot Gari Devi
As per believe, this is a final divine court of appeal. It is situated 9 kms from Thal.
